After wearing out my copy of "Spectacular Cakes" over the last five years, I was thrilled to come across this book of "Wedding Cakes" by Mich Turner.If you are a bride, this book will give you a variety of truly elegant, classic and contemporary designs to choose your dream wedding cake.If you are an advanced level decorator, comfortable working with fondant, mini cakes, multiple stacking techniques and a variety of mediums (such as chocolate plastique and gum paste), this book will be a treasured addition to your collection.The styles come from a variety of inspirations, noticably Chanel and fabrics (shoes, jackets, etc).The author includes in this book the diamond wedding design used to celebrate a royal diamond anniversary. Amazing!The photography is impeccable and beautiful.At the end of the book are simple instructions and recipes (for things like Chocolate Plastique, Chocolate Truffle Torte cake and Royal Icing). The book also includes templates for etching your cake sides.Highly recommended. I love it!

A lovely book of dream baking for those who wish they could. The instructions are great but very complicated and some details are missing unless you read through the entire book. Sometimes the author assumes you know how to trace a design into a cake but details it in a recipe 3 pages later. I haven't made anything quite as spectacular in the photos, but this is a lovely book of dreams. We all wish we could bake like this.

My Daughter is getting married and sent me a photo off of Pinterest....."This is the cake I MUST have." Upon arrival, what do I find searching through the book...the exact cake! Lace Veil page 53. I am confident, this will be a success!

Same thing happened to me - Beatrice. I ordered both Wedding Cakes and Couture Wedding Cakes thinking they were different books. (I did just check the ISBN numbers - and they are different.) But, they are the same books with different covers and titles!! Buyer the cheaper one!!

I am very happy to recommend this book to wedding cake decorators for these reasons...I first purchased Mich Turners "Spectacular Cakes" and loved that book. So I was really looking forward to see her next work. It has been one of my go-to books for recipes and designs. Although this Wedding Cakes has similar receipes as the Spectacular Cakes book, the cakes featured in her new book are absolutely elegant and gorgeous! If your clients are not in the off the wall type of cake for her wedding, this would be an ideal book to show cakes that are eye-catching and very simple to do.By the way, her carrot cake is out of this world!! Perfect for a wedding cake, it has that little zing!

This group kept me laughing especially Hazee and Dreami they had a love hate relationship. Stormi finally grew up and she gave mellow run for his money. The guys found love in 2 females that matched there crazy. I'm glad that stormi and Dreami got there happy endings with there own additions to the family. Now all we need is an update maybe a New Year's Eve double wedding #214

I loveeed this series. One of the best I’ve read. The author’s did a really good job collaborating. I laughed throughout the entire book. I love the couples and their relationships. I initially thought Dream’s mother was on some sneaky mess. Glad she wasn’t. Recommendation: Please write another with the couples that center around their proposed double wedding.. That would be awesome!!!

Great ending to a series i love me some Dream and Storm they are so hard working sisters. I love them brother Mellow and Haze their names fit them perfectly. Haze was something else i love him for Dream they balanced each other out, they were a Hazee Dream. I love Storm and mellow, mellow made Storm so much stronger she was mellow and he made her a Storm. I’m sad to see them go can’t wait to read what’s next from these authors

These characters were too funny. I enjoyed this series. Stormi was a trip. She came out that shell full force. Dreami played no games. I could only laugh at their men those two were pure fools. They all had me in tears laughing with all the foolishness that went on. Shocking events came about that left me shocked. I loved the ending.

Great ending to a great series. Really loved Dream and Storm they're a mess, but some hard working sisters. Loved the couples and their relationships. Glad Dream's mom was alive and okay, and not on no sneaky mess. Happy that each couple got their happy ending. Highly recommend this series and job well done Ladies.

This series was hilarious from start to finish! Those sisters are a mess but they found the right men to handle them. This was my fav because it showed more of their relationship and growth in them all. I was not expecting the newbie but she’s just as wild as them. I’m glad it all worked out. Good job ladies 👏🏽

This series was so crazy so many twist turns and funny ass lines had me laughing and trying to remember what to say to my friends grandma was just as crazy as the guys and the third sister was just as wild as the other two I really enjoyed this book GOOD JOB

This was an awesome read.This has been one heck of a ride.I thought storming was gonna die after getting shot.The sister was a good surprise. They daddy was a straight how.I can't wait for the finale glad Stormi finally bossed up and dream calmed down.

This is one of my favorite Bible Dictionaries. I feel that it gives you the information you actually want to know, especially for those not wanting all the extra critical scholarship. This Dictionary is thorough yet simple and holds the Bible in high esteem and authority. I lead a small Bible school and we use this for our students alongside the Anchor Yale encyclopedia set and I actually prefer this for our students most of the time. It contains way less information because it is one large volume as opposed to a whole set like the Anchor Yale. If you are looking for a Dictionary for your own personal study, this is the one.

I've used this text, as well as The New Bible Commentary, for two decades teaching Sunday School. I have many reference texts to help preparing my lessons, but if I had to choose only one to have this one would be it. It's authoritative without being written in excessively stilted language. I have gifted it to visiting missionaries to help in their teaching, both for its quality and because the single volume can be carried in their return luggage. In my experience it's the best authoritative, single volume Biblical reference book on the market.

At this date, this volume is hardly "new," but it's been a standard for years. I gave my first copy to a school in Brazil, and ended up ordering a used one to replace it because I missed having it handy.

Very good Bible dictionary. Have others and always looking to learn something new about a Bible word. Bible dictionaries have a lot of the same words but not all have the same information. Each one is different and unique in itself. Would recommend the New Bible Dictionary to anyone who is a student, no matter what your age. Like other Bible dictionaries, there are many scholars who contribute so there is always the advantage and privilege of learning something from a different perspective.

I am very pleased with the New Bible Dictionary I purchased recently. I teach an adult Sunday School class which requires a lot of preparation and in-depth study. My pastor suggested this book as a reliable resources that he uses to prepare his sermons. He lent me his copy so I could decide if it would fit my needs. It appears to have even more helps and information than I could have hoped for. The pastor gave me great advice when he recommended that I should order this book!

My third edition is a yellow cloth hardback with a sandy dust jacket.PROS: Smyth sewn binding. Some fascinating topics and long essays. Detailed analysis with occasional black-n-white charts and maps. Mainly British scholarship. Available for Logos Bible software, cross linked to other IVP reference works.CONS: Smaller print than most large Bible dictionaries. Outdated (1962-1996, KJV, RV, RSV) with line drawings, no photos, no color and no tabbed index. Geared more towards liberal scholarly argument than devout Christian Bible study. Far too much time and credibility granted to subjective "biblical (higher) criticism," which questions the authorship and historical accuracy of the Bible. Late dates the exodus and other "chronology" events. Leans away from fundamentalism and dispensationalism. Topics are not well cross referenced. No entry for english Bible versions. Not available for the Kindle.ALTERNATIVES: 1: Unger's (insightful). 2: Holman's (colorful). 3: Nelson's (concise). 4. Nave's or MacArthur's Topical Bible (Scriptures)

Like "McElligot's Pool,""If I Ran the Zoo" is a non-narrative paean to unbridled childhood imagination. A young tyke, Gerald McGrew, is unimpressed by everyday lions and tigers, so he dreams up his own menagerie, which gets wilder and more ambitious by the page. If "McElligot" boasted some lavish watercolors, "Zoo" stays with Seuss's trademark pen and ink, with occasional fill-in colors. The whimsy factor of "Zoo," however, is kicked up several notches beyond the "Pool." The vocabulary level is that of the better known "Horton Hears a Who!," two books down the road.

This was a birthday gift for my granddaughter who loves all kinds of animals and would visit the zoo everyday if she could. This fed her curiosity and imagination.

I just bought this in hopes that the animals would be fun for my daughter but unfortunately this book is also peppered with racist charicatures that I wasn’t expecting. It has not aged well and generally I just don’t think it holds up to the stories and rhymes of other Seuss books we have.

I remember my mother reading this to me when I was a child, and I am currently reading it to my son. You just can't beat a classic Seuss.

I first read this book about 60 years ago when I got it from my elementary school library. You had to get on a waiting list because the book was always checked out. Dr. Seuss just had that way of connecting with kids in a way that no other writer had.

Second go around with Dr. Seuss. Now we are reading to the grands!

OK with some good info but little on Mastodons

Just what I needed at that time! A good book! I would recommend this book!

I Have Adrian Lister's other work; 'Mammoths, Giants of the Ice Age,' and it is a very good book full of useful knowledge from 2007. The QUESTION I have is what makes THIS book a BETTER book, as in, what new, or additional information does it contain, and SPECIFICALLY, what does it have to say about the MASTODONS, which these days appear as the 'red-headed stepchildren' of the mammoths, and no-one wants to to talk much about them, although they have at LEAST as much significance as the mammoths, and a far more diverse evolutionary trail. So TELL me that I will receive some solid info on the mastodons, as WELL as the mammoths, and I will buy this book, but not before!
