My son is so excited about this book -- he can't wait for us to start! He's excited about creating his own flag and uniform the most. I'm excited about him getting to do a little research on the different countries, sports and write -- he doesn't like to write, but if he's really interested in something, he'll write. I like the overall set up of the book -- I think this is a fantastic addition to our curriculum
My son is 11 and he might be on the older end of this workbook, but it looks like a great supplement to ALL the other stuff we are doing this month! I have to admit, it does have a young child look to it, but content seems like a good intro to the Olympics
This was recommended to me and it’s fantastic!!! Specific for the 2018 games, it has everything! Map work, history of the games, key definitions and important teaching on each sport, areas to track the medalists, lessons on the countries, flags, etc. Overnight this puppy! It’s worth it!
I loved the concept, but when I got the book it ended up being too advanced for my 3rd grader. Some of the games didn’t even make sense to me. Also it didn’t explain things very well and to get my kids thru it I had to use other sources to figure out what it meant. I was really hoping for an awesome book but this wasn’t it.
This was a great book to use while homeschooling to give overviews of the winter Olympics. It does have some info specific to the 2018 games especially the location but I will likely return to this book for future games as a lot of the info is basic to the sports. I combined this book with watching YouTube videos.
This book is pretty good. My son is almost 8 and he loved hunting for and coloring all of the country's flags. It gave good information about each event. There were some editing issues, and overall, it was a little advanced for my 8 year old. I'd recommend for age 10+ or children who can read and write well.
This book is very well thought out! I’m impressed with the amount of information as well as the engaging activities. My children are excited to map out the path of the Olympic Torch and learn about all the different sports. I highly recommend this book!
